VCON’s Media Xchange Server™ is a vital component in managing video over IP within an enterprise-wide network. Features include centralized management of endpoints, bandwidth management, monitoring the status of endpoints and more. VCON’s MXM server moves critical functionality from the endpoints to the network—where it belongs. Usage reports for network planning, tracking and accounting, in addition to security and policy definitions, make the MXM server an essential tool for any networked multimedia solution.

By migrating functionality and control to a network server, large quantities of IP video endpoints can be deployed with greater manageability and functionality than ever before.

At its core, the MXM is a software-based IP video PBX. With telephony features such as call forward, call transfer, ad-hoc conferencing and hunting groups, MXM provides the functions that make videoconferencing as simple as making a telephone call. From a remote console, an administrator has the ability to perform centralized management, configuration and administration functions of multiple zones. MXM supports a combination of VCON and non-VCON endpoints as well as a wide range of MCUs, Gateways and other networking equipment.
