The VCON Conference Moderator, an application module of the Media Xchange Manager™, combines web-based scheduling  and multipoint session moderation for videoconferencing networks of any size. The VCON Conference Moderator enhances the quality  of the rich media user experience by allowing users to schedule  point-to-point or multipoint videoconferences, and to easily manage those conferences in real-time.

Scheduler

While many videoconferences are ad-hoc, they can be further enhanced by scheduling them in advance. This is especially true when the  administrator is asked to remotely initiate a point-to-point or  multipoint videoconference. The VCON Conference Moderator puts  scheduling in the hands of the user community, similar to the way other conferences and meeting rooms are scheduled. Now, videoconferencing  can be more easily integrated into the work schedule when calls start promptly and are pre-configured, including size, type and  quality. When the conference time arrives, the VCON Conference Moderator will automatically connect participants across the network.

Conference Moderation

The VCON Conference Moderator enables the conference host to easily monitor and manage a multipoint conference session. The host can see a list of participants who have joined the conference and can add or remove participants during a conference. When used  in conjunction with the VCON VCB 2000 MCU, the host has control over the embedded streaming feature, which broadcasts the conference  across the network. Additionally, the host can configure all key  aspects of a VCB 2000 multipoint conference.
